Visitors

The Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage is not a tourist destination. However, visitors are welcome as long as they adjust themselves to the daily routine – animal welfare is our focus.
Visitors can visit the chimpanzees and watch them show natural behaviour in their large outdoor enclosures and watch as they are being fed by the keepers.
Chimfunshi is located in a huge bush and meadow landscape right by the Kafue River in North-Western Zambia, 70 kilometres from the nearest town of Chingola. The Kafue River, where you can go for beautiful boat trips, stretches all along the Northern border of Chimfunshi.
Visitors who want to watch these unique primates up close and are looking for a piece of untouched wilderness will not regret coming to this remote region; Chimfunshi is located in one of the most species-rich bird watching areas worldwide. Zambia >
