Doing good in memory - giving life
The loss of a loved one is a profound turning point in life. Relatives often wish to set a sign of solidarity and hope beyond the pain - especially if the deceased had a special closeness to nature, animals or Africa.
A memorial donation to Chimfunshi e.V. is a dignified way of keeping the memory of a special person alive - and at the same time giving the gift of the future: for rescued chimpanzees, for the protection of their habitat in Zambia, for education and animal welfare.
Collecting donations in memory
Instead of flowers or wreaths, you can ask for donations in the name of the deceased at a funeral service or in the obituary. This not only often fulfills a last wish, but also gives many other living beings a new chance.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts when you think of others in times of grief and preserve a piece of living space with your support.

If you would like to make a donation to Chimfunshi in your bereavement, please contact us. Together we will agree on a suitable keyword for your fundraising campaign so that we can allocate the incoming amounts correctly.

Information for the obituary
A possible formulation suggestion for your advertisement:
"At the request of the deceased, in lieu of flowers and wreaths, please make a donation to the CHIMFUNSHI Verein zum Schutz bedrohter Umwelt e.V., Hamburger Sparkasse, BIC HASPDEHHXXX, IBAN DE04 2005 0550 1213 1212 45, keyword: In memory of [name]. For a donation receipt, please state your name and address on the bank transfer."
After the fundraising campaign
Approximately 6 weeks after the funeral service or publication of the obituary, we will inform you of the total amount of memorial donations received and - if available - the names of the donors. For data protection reasons, we are not permitted to disclose individual amounts. All donors with a submitted address will receive a donation receipt from us in the following year.
