PAN

Dora was smuggled out of Uganda together with Pan: the two were transported in a tiny box, crammed together and discovered at the Sharjah airport in the United Arab Emirates. Since the box had no import papers, it was opened: the airport employee found the two chimpanzees lying on top of each other – no one was able to move and change the position. Both chimpanzees were immediately sent to Chimfunshi and recovered slowly. Although Dora herself was a baby, but the circumstances quickly made her to develop maternal insticts: she treated Pan as if he were her own child and she carried him everywhere. Pan was completely dependent on Dora for many months.
