Dora

Dora and Pan were smuggled out of Uganda: The two of them were stuffed into a tiny box for transportation and were discovered by customs at Sharjah Airport in the United Arab Emirates. Since the box didn’t have the proper papers it was opened: the two chimpanzees were discovered laying on top of each other and neither of them was able to move. Both chimpanzees were sent to Chimfunshi immediately and slowly recovered. Dora herself was still a baby but she had developed a mother instinct: she treated Pan as if he was her own child, and carried him everywhere she went. Pan was dependent on her for many months.
